Google is an American public corporation which operates as a search engine and an online advertiser.

The company itself is based in Mountain View, California and has around 13,748 employees.

Google was co-founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were students at Stanford University

Google first began as a private limited company September 7th 1998

Google's initial public offering took place on August 19, 2004, raising $1.67 billion, and it is now worth around $23 billion
